Day 1: CATANIA - ZAFFERANA
Independent arrival at the farmhouse Welcome cocktail, view on the vinification room and dinner to the restaurant.
2° giorno: ZAFFERANA - MILO
Breakfast. Morning visit of vineyards on donkey ride; following will be served a drink in the Vineyard, accompanied by local meats and cheeses. Continued to visit the vineyards. (During the vintage period , from October to November, you can participate to in the grape harvest and then to have a picnic in the Vineyard with freshly picked grapes, wine, meats and cheeses.) Afternoon mini cooking class during which we will explain the preparation of some of the typical Sicilian such as: “caponata”, “ parmigiana”, pasta cu maccu, pasta with sardines, risotto with artichokes etc.. with the opportunity to participate in the preparation, using organic products. Dinner with prepared dishes together with tasty surprises of the house. Overnight.
3° giorno: ACIREALE
After breakfast depart for a guided tour of Acireale, a jewel of the Mediterranean, with a particular emphasis Baroque abundant use of white and black stone. Guided tour of the historic center (Cathedral, San Sebastian’s Church, Zelantea art gallery, St. Camillus’s church). Known for its pastries, short stop to taste the almond and pistachio pastes or a delicious granita with almonds. Continue to visit the Puppet Museum, an extraordinary example of the tradition and artisan working of Acireale. Then visit the Palace Martino Fiorini authentic example of an ancient noble house built in the late ‘800 and early’ 900. The building consists of 20 rooms, among which we remember the great value of “yellow room” so called because of the predominance of yellow which include mirrors and stucco covered in pure gold. Lunch with a tasting menù at an Etna vinery. Firewell toast. Indipendent transfer to the airport of Catania. End of services.
