Day 1: COMISO – RAGUSA
Arrival to Comiso airport (or Catania airport). Picking up the car and transfer to the hotel in Ragusa area. Afternoon visit of Ragusa. The city offers with its historical center of Ibla a panoramic view which is difficult to find nowadays. In fact, walking around tiny streets till Cathedral Square is like a dive into the past. The city symbol is the S. Giorgio portal next to the beautiful Iblei garden, where there are three temples; then Pola square with the beautiful façade of San Giuseppe and Cathedral Square with the splendid baroque façade and the neoclassical dome of S. Giorgio. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2: RAGUSA - MODICA - MARZAMEMI
Breakfast. Morning visit Modica located between two pits of a river bed which was buried in the past century. Baroque pearl is famous beyond for its architecture, also for being the birth place of a Nobel Laureate in literature Salvatore Quasimodo and for its famous Modica chocolate! The most interesting Monuments are San Giorgio, San Pietro and Santa Maria of Bettlemme. You can visit the birth house of Salvatore Quasimodo, a little rocky church with Byzantine frescoes. After you will be ready to taste the famous Modica’s chocolate and other products unique to Modica. Continue to Marzamemi nice fishing village one of the most southern towns in Sicily. Your visit here is spent as free time, so make the most of it by swimming, exploring or shopping for artisan crafts to take home. Perhaps take a stroll around the picturesque Old Town and admire sights like the Church of San Francesco di Paola as well as the tonnara – the town’s famous tuna production factory. Return to Ragusa. Overnight stay to the hotel.
Day 3: RAGUSA - SCICLI - MARINA DI RAGUSA - PUNTA SECCA - RAGUSA
After breakfast, departure to Scicli. Scicli ,is one of the UNESCO-listed Baroque towns of south-east Sicily, but it is rather off-the-beaten-track compared with its more visited surroundings Noto, Ragusa and Modica. Visit of St. Ignatius’s church in the main square Piazza Italia, the beautiful St. Bartholomew’s church set in the scenic gorge with the same name, Beneventano Palace, Mormino Penna Street, St. John’s church, St. Michael’s church, Spadaro Palace, St. Therese’s church to conclude with the Church of Carmine. Continue to Marina di Ragusa, known for its beautiful beaches, up to Punta Secca to enjoy lovely landscapes and clear seas. Overnight stay to the hotel in Ragusa.
Day 4: RAGUSA - COMISO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and delivery of the car. End of our services.
